For those who desire to lead a healthy lifestyle,Green Tea is a definite goodness .One of the best comfort foods,this healthy,refreshing and delicious beverage can be had hot or cold and it even works with or without honey / sugar and you could spike this with anything you like from fruit juices to tongue- numbing spices or top it up with marshmallows to chocolate shavings .Highly recommended.
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups of boiling hot water
- 1 tsp green tea leaves or 2 Green Tea bags
- 1 1/2 inch – 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 2 Cardamom pods crushed
- 2 Cloves
- 1/4 tsp Grated ginger or 1/2 inch piece ginger crushed
- A pinch of Black Pepper Powder
- 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
- Honey / Sugar /Sweetener as required
Method:
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except water ,Lemon Juice and honey. Add boiling water. Cover and steep for 5-6 minutes. Strain and discard the tea leaves/tea bags and spices. Stir in the Lemon Juice ,honey/sugar/sweetener into tea. Serve immediately.
The basics of Green Tea can be customized according to your liking.This aromatic Green Tea is soul-warming but not heavy.

Substitutes:
The individual spices can be substituted with 1 1/2 tsp of All spice powder.
